The primary thing eating my attention span is the update to HippoRent and its plugins for the doors, security and windows. I’m about 30% complete. I will take a break in order to make the new houses for the RFL expo, but it will be done in the next week.

New Home & New Look!
I decided to get my own domain for all my businesses. For now, I am using WordPress as a content management system and have imported my Blogger posts here. The buildout will take a little time but it will be worth it in the end, as WordPress allows me to have static pages as well as blog entries.
I will be slowly tweaking the layout as time goes on, as I scrape the rust off my web design skills. But in the meanwhile, here we are and welcome to the new site!
Face Lift
I have some ideas to improve my communication via this blog, but part of it involves me re-teaching myself a few HTML tricks. 
Hence, the title of this post. If I can, it will be much more than a face lift and will add much utility to this space.
I made a new blog for my sailing exploits. Nothing too fancy, but I’m happy to share that aspect of my second life there.
No new properties or buildings as yet. I have an idea that is not totally stillborn, but I’m not happy with how it’s shaping up just yet. It’s in pieces on my workspace. It’s often a challenge to make a place feel just right, the way I envision it in my head.
Zillow Dejavu of Second Chick has graciously written a very nice feature article about me and my work. I have already told her twice, but it’s true – it’s really humbling to have nice things written about me or the things I do. Second Chick is a Second Life resident blog focused on women’s issues related to SL. It’s very new, and very well executed. Zillow has put in a range of very interesting content so far and it has great potential. I wish you the best, Zillow. I’ll be following your blog.
New Property Manager: Chris Norse
Yes, I’ve been a busy bee! So busy in fact that I decided to hire a little help. Chris Norse will be there to help generally during the daytime, when I’m at work.
A New Look
…for me, personally.
I’m getting more in touch with my roots. I originally came into this game looking a lot like my real life self. Over time, I’ve made modifications that have made my avatar look more like a fantasy girl. Part of that was the light brown hair, which was really golden – basically blonde.
It was a hot look, for sure, but something in me has yearned to get back to my roots. So here we are, using a darkened dark brown to come closer to the real me. My avatar is still very much a fantasy, but she’s grounded a little more in reality. If I could look like that in real life… I’d be dangerous.

Lately…
Antares has taken up a lot of my attention, but I am not all-consumed by it. I’m currently installing a security system for each unit that will give tenants greater control over their space, and will eject unwanted intruders.
God Bless HippoTech. Their rental system is becoming more and more sophisticated, and the security plugin works with the tenancy in the rental box. AND they are reasonably priced. I can’t recommend them more.
I’ve also got a new property (will blog about it later once I grab the picture) – another set of entry level studios. I also have a new prefab coming out, but it needs some texture work for the doors. It will be a while; getting the privacy tint to match the tint with the windows will be tricky.
Reorganizing
Life is a balancing act. You have to balance your time, your stress, and things you value – your priorities – in order to live a healthy life. Due to changes in my personal life, I have sought to unload sources of unnecessary stress in my second life and am consolidating my rentals to the most successful campuses. I am selling off more land in Vyacheslav, to get rid of the less successful properties that have suffered during the last month due to my transition.
Accordingly, I am keeping the new version of Cristalle Clouds, which is in the southeast corner of Vyacheslav, and Cristalle Studios. I am also keeping the new Cristalle South. Cristalle Sands has remained where it is on Eve Island, and Cristalle Shore is also functioning, although now on a new island.
I’m considering a few new properties to replace some of the older ones, and I am also going to occupy some of the extra land I own with single-house rentals.
Also coming soon is Cristalle Plaza, my first commercial building venture. It should be a very open design, with lots of greenery, and a central area to rez boxes. I don’t think I will open it up for general renting too quickly – I will do it by invitation first. I already have two quality shops lined up for space, and it will be reasonably priced.

Welcome to Cristalle Properties, the website highlighting the developments made by Cristalle Karami, a character in the virtual world of Second Life, commonly referred to as SL.
I am a new builder and entrepreneur in SL. I have developed several properties and rent apartments. This blog will showcase my properties and if I can get things set up correctly, vacancies will be seen here too. I will also showcase prefabricated homes that I intend to make for sale.
Right now, I have five different existing projects: Cristalle Waters, Cristalle Flats, Cristalle Studios, Cristalle Clouds and Cristalle South. Cristalle Clouds is a skybox community, and Cristalle South is a large single unit on one plot with 196 prims allotted. Cristalle Waters, Cristalle Flats, and Cristalle Studios are all ground-based apartment complexes. I am looking to expand in the near future once the complexes have reached their capacity.
I am currently traveling and have limited access to SL due to lack of adequate computing power, but once I return I will have pictures and rental information for each development that I manage, and pictures of my custom build jobs.
